As part of Pride Month celebrations, LeO staff joined the SRA at Birmingham’s Pride Parade on 27 May 2023.
The Pride Parade is annual event which celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer+ communities. It also calls for more acceptance and equality for LGBTQ+ people across the world.
Martin Pink, LeO’s LGBTQ+ Network Co-Chair, said: “The invitation to join the SRA at the Pride Parade is part of an annual tradition to bring LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies together to celebrate inclusion, allyship, and LGBTQ+ contribution to the legal profession.”
Jess Pinhorn, LeO’s LGBTQ+ Network Co-Chair, said: “It was the first time that I’d been a part of the Pride Parade and I fully expect to be there next year. It was an honour to be able to walk alongside my teammates at LeO and colleagues at the SRA, Legal Choices, and Eversheds Sutherland. Birmingham Pride was made even more special as I was able to share it with my family.”
Throughout Pride Month, LeO’s LGBTQ+ Network members and allies have been raising awareness about LGBTQ+ history, sharing their own personal stories, and shining the spotlight on inspirational LGBTQ+ people. These activities contribute to LeO’s year-round equality, diversity and inclusion programme, which is highlighted in the OLC’s latest annual report and accounts.
