Business Plan consultation
Our Business Plan and Budget Consultation 2022/2023 launched on 5 November. This sets out the progress we have made in the first half of the business year and our plans to continue to improve our performance next year. The document also aims to provide answers to the key questions of when will the Legal Ombudsman be able to deliver a thriving and effective service and how much will it cost to do so.

Performance data for 2021-22
Our KPI (key performance indicators) provide us a with a way of measuring and demonstrating how effectively we are working. This information is reviewed on a regular basis and also allows us to monitor the quality of service we provide to all our customers.

Advice Desk
New advice desk launched
On 01 November we launched an advice desk. If you are a legal service provider and would like to talk to one of our ombudsman about a complaint you have received, you can contact our technical advice desk and we may be able to help you resolve the issue. We can give general information on how we approach complaints, how we determine service and guidance on how to put things right before a complaint is under investigation.
This is part of our commitment to feed back on learning and insight from the complaints we investigate to help Service Providers improve their customer service and complaint handling. The informal advice given is based on the information provided in your query and does not represent any formal ombudsman determination of the service you have provided to your client.
