Changing text size

You can change the text size on your screen to make things easier to read on our website. You can make the text size larger or smaller through your browser settings.

Some browsers will allow you to magnify the whole page. To change the text size, follow the instructions below:

Internet Explorer

You can zoom from 10% to 1000%. To change the zoom level, on the bottom right of the Internet Explorer screen, click the arrow next to the Change Zoom Level button. Or, to quickly zoom using the keyboard, Press CTRL + PLUS SIGN (+) to zoom in, or CTRL + HYPHEN (-) to zoom out.

Firefox

  1. Click the menu button on the right. The customization menu will open and you will see the zoom controls at the top.

  2. Use the + button to zoom in, and the – button to zoom out. The number in the middle is the current zoom level – click it to reset the zoom to 100%.

  3. Keyboard shortcuts: You can also use the zoom controls without a mouse. Press and hold Ctrl while pressing + to zoom in, – to zoom out, or 0 to reset.

Safari

  • To increase or decrease the magnification of a web page in Safari, press Apple and ‘+‘ (plus) to zoom in, or Apple and ‘–‘ (minus) to zoom out. To return the text to its original size, press Apple + 0.

  • You can also do this via the menu bar, as shown below. Click on ‘View‘ or press Ctrl + F2 to highlight the menu bar and press the right arrow key to open the ‘View‘ drop-down menu.

If you want to only change the text size rather than everything on the web page, make sure ‘Zoom Text Only‘ is ticked. You can tick or untick it by clicking on it or use the arrow keys to highlight it and then press Enter.

  • Click ‘Zoom In‘ to increase the text size, or ‘Zoom Out‘ to decrease the text size. Alternatively, use the arrow keys to highlight one of the size options and then press Enter. (In older versions of Safari, you need to choose either ‘Make Text Bigger‘ or ‘Make Text Smaller‘).

Browser compatibility

The following browsers have been tested for compatibility:

  • Internet Explorer (Windows) v11
  • Google Chrome
  • Edge Chromium
  • Firefox
  • Safari.
